Keeping Cool

We spent the whole morning outside. It was a great morning there was a breeze so it wasn't too hot and they got to be in the pool. This afternoon however we spent indoors. I went out to get the mail and could barely breathe so we will occupying ourselves in other ways.

Lawn Chair Buddies

These two are little copy cats they are so cute together. Emma climbed up into the lawn chair and soon after Brianna wanted to be in on the action too.

BUTTERFLIES!!

One of our cocoons opened and we have a butterfly. I woke Trevor up from nap and told him something really cool happened. I'm sad we didn't get to see it happen, hopefully we can catch it with the other two. Here it is:

Caterpillars

Our caterpillars are now safe and sound in their cocoons. Well two of them are. The third is slowly making his way up and started hanging today. It was so crazy to see them make their cocoons. One of them made one in a matter of hours. Once the third is done with his cocoon we will have to take the lid off the jar an put it in the Butterfly habitat. Here are some projects we've been doing related to caterpillars and the cocoons themselves:

I thought this guy wasn't going to make it because he was always so small but he fattened up and is finally starting his own cocoon.

Flowers

Well our flower pots are finally growing. I think it took so long because the seeds were too far down. That and I left them in the play room so they didn't get watered as much. Brianna's is growing the most so I transfered some of her plants into the others. They are so proud of their flowers. We will send them home soon :)

Our caterpillars are here!

I'm pretty sure one of them is dead being that it hasn't moved from that spot and is way smaller than the others. On Friday they were the size of ants. They have grown so much already. We have discussed a lot about what will happen to them and their transformation into butterflies.

Too hot to play outside!

Only in MN do we get both extremes. Too cold and too hot. Yesterday we played outside for the majority of the morning. I decided we would try going outside despite sweating it out inside in the afternoon. We lasted maybe 5 min! So in order to stay cool and have some fun/burn off some energy we hid in the basement. Water Day

We spent the afternoon playing in the water. We started in the pool and ended up in the sprinkler. Everyone had fun and loved the water. Here are a few pics of our fun:

Big Girl!

I'm so excited to say that Brianna is sleeping on a mat today and is doing amazing so far! I'm excited to put away one pack n play. This will give us some more space in the play room. Yay Brianna!!
