Waiting Waiting Waiting. . .

Is the word of the week. We are still waiting for our caterpillars in the mail. I get asked everyday if they have come yet. I think they should arrive soon though! We are also waiting for some really nice summer weather. I feel like we need a getaway this summer somewhere hot if it doesn't get nicer here!

TGIF

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Our flower unit is wrapping up and we will be talking more about seeds and parts of flowers when our Marigolds start to come up. Our caterpillar butterflies should be coming soon so we will get started on that as soon as they come. Enjoy your weekend!

Flowers!

This week we are learning all about flowers. How they grow what they need and what happens in the winter. Yesterday we painted our flower pots and today we planted them. Hopefully our seeds will plant and we will have some Marigolds to show for it. Here they are planting their flowers:

It's not a very good one, I had to snap it quick before dirt made it to their mouths!

"Soooo Big!"

Yesterday at lunch I was feeding Easton and the particular meal wasn't so great on his tastebuds so instead of inhaling his food like usual he decided to do an impromptu I'm so big! He kept cocking his head to one side and putting his hands up and then he would laugh and laugh here are a few pics.

Book Warehouse

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Book Warehouse in the Albertville Outlet malls is having a sale. 50% off every book in the store through May! They don't have a lot of the best sellers but I have found great kids books there and they are all brand new.

Art

We got some new art supplies in the mail today!! I bought a rainbow stamp pad, do a dot art, and a special suprise for the kids to do- a butterfly garden.

The kids don't know it yet but we will be doing a butterfly unit. We will actually grow butterflies from caterpillars and then let them go. I wanted to do this earlier in the spring but we didn't get much of one this year and didn't want to kill off our butterflies from frost.

Above are the Dot a Dot Art Paints. I may be the only one excited about these but it will be easier for the smaller chidren to be able to participate in art projects!



Welcome Makena!

Today we welcomed a new friend Makena. She is 4 years old and will be with us on Mondays and Fridays. We are very excited to have a new friend to play with!

Babies are Silly

The other day we were all playing babies I look over and here is what I see. So funny! The apron really does work better as a hat :)

BUGS!

This week we are learning about BUGS!! We learned all about a spiders webs and different insects habitats. We started the week off by observing different bugs and learning their names and drawing what they look like on paper. On Friday we will be having a bug desert- dirt cups!
